Gordon Peterson's Photo Gallery

Here you can check out several pictures of me and a few friends. I've reduced the dimensions of these pictures so it won't take you so long to download them. In some cases (usually, the small picture will be outlined), you can click on the small picture if you want to see a larger and higher-resolution form of it.

This is a picture of me taken in summer 1994 at EuroDisneyland Paris, just outside the Phantom Manor (the attraction is known in the USA Disney parks as the Haunted Mansion). That's me on the left! My friend at the right is the Phantom of Phantom Manor. This is a portion of souvenir picture taken by Disney photographers... usually I managed to slip by them, but on this particular day (fortunately) I got "nabbed".

The one on the left is a picture of me taken in May, 1995 onboard (for the first time!) The Texas Giant, a large wooden rollercoaster at Six Flags Over Texas. It is a VERY intense rollercoaster, with a VERY shaky and bumpy ride. At the point where the picture was taken the coaster has shaken off my glasses... which I managed to catch... and I am holding onto them for dear life in my left hand, between my knees. The second picture was taken on Sunday, June 11, 1995 also on The Texas Giant (my second time!). This better picture was taken in the daylight, and better shows how my beard gets blown back by the wind... although this picture strangely makes it look like I have a very receding hairline (which I don't think is all that true). You also can't tell from the picture, but I'm wearing my Internet "rec.roller-coaster, Coasting through Cyberspace" T-shirt. The third one was taken on Friday evening June 30, 1995 and was the first time I've ridden in the front row. You can see how I'm hanging on for dear life!

Here is a nice aerial view of the first drop of The Texas Giant. It is absolutely the most intense coaster I've ever been on, anywhere! This picture comes (sometimes) on the cover of the folder you get your Texas Giant pictures in at the park.

This is another picture of me taken on the same day as the first Texas Giant one shown above on the left. This picture, although fuzzy, shows me onboard The Avalanche Bobsled coaster, and was taken perhaps an hour after the Texas Giant picture. If you compare the two, you'll notice to what degree my beard was being blown back by the wind caused by the speed of The Texas Giant.

The above picture of me with another longhaired/bearded buddy was taken in San Francisco in early 1996.

These are a few fairly recent pictures of me. I couldn't figure out which of them I liked the best... maybe you can tell me!

The above picture was taken in April 1997 here in Dallas, and shows me and some of my also-bearded friends having fun.

The above picture was taken on November 21, 1998. I was at a friend's home, shortly after returning from attending the IAAPA (roller coaster and theme parks) convention here in Dallas with him. I'm wearing my "rec.roller-coaster" newsgroup T-shirt.

The above picture was taken in March 1999, and shows me and a group of buddies that got together here at my home during the weekend.

The above picture was taken on September 5, 1999. I was pierside in Halifax, Nova Scotia during a Canadian cruise on the new ms Carnival Triumph.

The above picture was part of a photo shoot taken in September, 2000. I'll probably post some more of the pictures from that session here later.

For Halloween 2000, one of the ladies who works at one of my consulting client companies decided to come dressed as me! These pictures were taken at the office that day (I wasn't onsite that day, but heard about it later... and she loaned me these pictures so I could post them on my Web site.)

This picture was taken by a friend visiting in mid-January 2001. We'd just come out of Sunday Brunch at a local Santa-Fe-style Mexican restaurant.

This picture was taken at Camp Casey on Sunday, August 14, 2005 and shows me with Cindy Sheehan. She is the mother of Casey Sheehan, killed in the Iraq war. We are about two miles from Shrub's ranch outside Crawford, Texas.

I'll be adding more pictures to this page from time to time.
